Before you call
Five steps after a tree comes down
1
Get everyone clear
Leave any room under the tree or a damaged roof. Keep kids and pets away from the area.
2
Stay away from lines
Treat every downed wire as live. Call 911 and your power company before anything else.
3
Don't cut it yourself
A storm-loaded tree can spring or roll when cut. That's when most injuries happen.
4
Take photos
From a safe distance: the tree, the damage, and the whole scene. Your insurer will want them.
What we handle
Lifted off, not dragged off
A tree resting on a roof is still loaded. Pull it the wrong way and it tears more roof with it. When a tree is on your house, we use the crane to lift sections straight up and set them down in the yard, so the damage doesn't get worse.
- Trees on roofs and decks
- Trees on cars and fences
- Blocked driveways and roads
- Hanging and broken limbs
- Uprooted and leaning trees
- Storm debris cleanup

★★★★★
“I worried about our home and vehicles with each passing wind and ice storm. Richard assured us of their work and cleanup. He did not let us down. When the job was finished you wouldn’t have known the tree was ever there.”

Storm questions
Will my insurance pay for it?
Often, when a tree damages a covered structure like your house, garage or fence. A tree that falls in open yard usually isn't covered. Check with your insurer, and take photos before any work starts.
Is it really an emergency?
If a tree is on your house, blocking your only way out, or hanging over where people walk, yes: call the cell. If it's down in the yard and nothing is at risk, text photos and we'll schedule it.
How fast can you come after a big storm?
After a major storm everyone calls at once. We take homes with trees on them first, then blocked drives, then yard cleanup. Calling early gets you on the list.
What about the power lines?
Lines on or near a tree are the power company's job first. Once they've made it safe, we'll remove the tree.
Before the next one
Get your trees storm-ready
Hurricane season runs June through November. A walk-through with Richard finds the dead pines, weak limbs and leaning trees most likely to come down, so you can deal with them on your schedule instead of the storm's.
